Created as a part of Le Groupe Dance Lab's "Studio A Series Solos/Duets" 2003. 

Good Night Josephine (2003)

The source material for this work is love letters; as objects, collections, archives and testaments of personal communication, contained in an envelope. Each envelope travels, and acts to express intimacy over a distance. Lovel letters we sourced for “Good Night Josephine” can from the Canadian National Archives in Ottawa, whose authors were: Jacques Plantes, A.Y Jackson, u.o. and Online searches for Napolean to Josephine. The text was written by Gordon Downie, as a complication of his own poetry with inspiration from the found texts.
