NEWS
Hope this finds you well and bright.
Looking ahead one month, I will once again be at the Tic Tac Art Centre in Brussels, teaching a morning workshop June 30-July 4th, 2025. This is an incredible artist-run space. Alongside the workshop, there are daily affordable feasts to enjoy in a garden-courtyrad, a thiving arts community, performances and international visitors focused on movement, creativity, and communication. (See more info under).
{-Production-}
Last week for three evenings 26-28th May, the graduating class of the Stockholm University Dance BA Performance group performed "Tomorrow,After all", a site choreography I co-created with them on Skeppsholmen, Stockholm.
This group and I made connection in 2023 as I was a guest teacher at SKH. They grew a strong affinity with my dance and performance practices and this project evolved from that connection.
Tomorrow, After All, is an attempt to create a cinematic experience of distance and time for both for the performers and the public in an outdoor site work. I incorporated a film maker tradition of “quoting” other filmmakers, and expanded to include "quoting" 20th century choreographers. This “quoting” convention revealed another type of mapping ‘distance’, by giving life to other makers’ imprints in film and dance over time.
Film making techniques of Wide Shot, depth of field, Planned Sequence, and vanishing perspective became the scores for the dance practices. The dance practices were in direct relationship with the environment and with one another, and witnesses experienced a sense of not only watching a film, but being inside a film.
Choreogrpahy of time and distance in a landscape also offered both performer and audience the calming and centering experience from the “Long View”. Once one is centred in self and situation, the environment becomes an equal player rather than a backdrop. Therfore the “everyday” actions of passers-by, weather and wildlife became players in this filmic work.
Seventeen performers. Malla Aaltonen, Maria Arkouli, Aymara Von Borries, Julia Christoffersson, Tovalisa Delin, Maya Giraudet, Sarah Hanses, Ulrik Ørsnes Jansen, Linnea Johansson, Inka Keränen, Anni Koivusalo, Zofia Krzyszycha, Riikka Lyra, Mira Buus Rasmussen, Natalia Perea Santana, Natalia Higuita Velasquez, Saga Ivéus Wenglert.

Mentorship
Mentorship/Facilitation
It’s been an inspiring and nourishing adventure in facilitation with Canadian Dance Artist Kate Nankervis, who since the early spring has been studying closely my practices of hands-on work in Dynamic Expansion, as well as dance movement teaching practices. With thanks to the Canadian organization the “Dancer Transition and Resource Centre [DTRC]” who’s premise is to promote balance in profession dancers’ lives.
In our work together, in my role as facilitator/teacher I am guiding Kate’s integration of my practices into emergent forms for her own hands-on work and dance leadership whether choreographic, or group facilitation practices. She and I have also been working through work exchanges, working consciously in the current climate of arts sarcity to promote abuncance.
{Dynamic Expansion CRANIOSACRAL}
Private sessions in Dynamic Expansion
Practice:
Craniosacral/Expanded Consciousness sessions have many benefits for wellness including: deeply easing stress, deep rest for the nervous system, increased vitality, unwinding of unwanted habits, and increased general well-being. Craniosacral also has many benefits for Health (active definition of health: as "not a state but a search for equilibrium") including; improving eyesight/vision, reduced acute pain, rehabilitation in the neural field, learning disabilities, gross and fine motor problems, developmental delays, headaches, tinnitus, TMJ syndrome, stress disorders, trauma and neurological conditions.
Craniosacral Dynamic Expansion is a hybrid practice which I developed incorporating 25+ years of Craniosacral practices together with expanded consciousness, movement awareness and co-creative work with Nature. I work co-creatively with each client given one's individuality and needs. Please note that some themes and issues could find resolution in one session, some in three to four sessions and others over time.
Long-Distance Practice
I also practice long-distance sessions, done over audio calls, or video calls. I have received very positive feedback over the last decade, and one of the beautiful benefits of these sessions is I am able to offer continuity for my international clients or for those in Germany who do not reside in Berlin or with those that prefer to be in their private space for this one-to-one work. Please be in touch if this mode of working interests you.
I continue to develop and exchange this work with my regular clients who inspire me constantly, and I am open to welcoming new clients as my schedule permits.
