Hoping this finds you well and bright.
Sending best wishes for the week of the winter solstice, and joyous wishes of health and peace for whatever you celebrate from now until the new Year!

Above is a captured image with me leading a movement practice with fellow artists on the Canadian Wilderness Artist Residency taken by fellow artist Yvonne Hachkowski. I have recently posted a short video made with Sabine Burns at Fort Selkirk. I had asked fellow artists to draw a "score" of their movement patterns on any given day during our residency when were at a camp. I memorized one of Marnia Hulzenga's scores, and intrgrated my practice of Moveable Cinema working with the felt-sense of the visual field to create a choreography.

NEWS

Just recently returning to Berlin after some travelling months; with workshops in November in Ottawa at the Ottawa Dance Directive and the School of Dance. As well a Workshop in Toronto which I co-taught with Robert Harris Craniosacral therapy teacher and practitioner. There were truly inspired people showing up to explore and share in thses practices, and wonderful as always to be back in Canada.

This week returning from Stockholm. It is a ture pleasure to  continue my relationship with Cullberg Dance Company via the  offering my teaching practice. I love working with this group of artists and am grateful for the process of deepening work together over time, which such a gift in this field.

INDIA HIVE RESIDENCY

On the horizon!

Following an invitation some time ago to curate an Artists’ residency to take place India I imagined a meeting of international artists, practitioners, and researchers who engage in parallel practices who could benefit from the gift of Time and the location to share and exchange practices in an open-source platform. Calling it the HIVE and borrowing from Nature a bee hive model where it's understood that each member of a Hive has a specialized role and that what is collected in the field and brought back to be shared with the Hive benefits the whole.
I invited an amazing group who are engaged in art practices connected with one or any combination of these focuses; Dance, Performance, work in partnership with Nature, and Bodywork will all “Hive” at the FARM studios in Rajasthan India from January 6-February 8, 2020.

FARM Studios

Joining me will be Clara Birnbaum, Samuel Draper, Jared Gradinger, Shelley Etkin, Marina Hulzenga, Roberto Martinez, Monique Romeiko, Claudia Hill, with inivited guests Delhi-based Roman Shervani and Navtej Johar.

In February, at the FARM studios, I will stay on to further my artistic research for a new project I’ve been developing Fluid Resilience (woring title) with a projected première in the Fall 2020 at the Tanzfabrik Berlin. So much of the recent research I've done this year exploring in fluid dynamics in the body in stillness and in movement during the residencies at the Dance House in Dublin in April, and the CWAR on the Yukon River in July-August 2019 will then be furthered with my time at the FARM studios in Rajasthan India.

Craniosacral sessions have many benefits for wellness including: deeply easing stress, deep rest for the nervous system, increased vitality, unwinding of unwanted habits, and increased general well-being. Craniosacral also has many benefits for Health including; improved eyesight/vision, reduced acute pain, rehabilitation in the neural field, learning disabilities, gross and fine motor problems, developmental delays, autism, headaches, tinnitus, TMJ syndrome, stress disorders, trauma and neurological conditions.

My work with Craniosacral work is a hybrid practice which includes  working with expanded consciousness and with Nature. I work co-creatively with each client given one's individuality and needs. Please note that some themes and issues could find resolution in one session, some in three to four sessions and others over time.
