Hoping this finds you well and as bright as can be. Wishing you all (a belated) heathly new calander year, a vibrant chinese new year and magical leap year, 2016.

Looking forward to perfom as part of 3AM's next installtion at Flutgraben in Berlin, February 28. Curated by local dance artistis, they are presenting works with the theme of "abandoned works". . I have unearthed a work which began and in 2007 always thinking I would somehow return to... "one-minute mini-operas". There will be several artists presenting and this event simply never dissappoints. Please check the front page of my website closer to the date for details. Am Flutgraben

2015 November was an exceptional, which included the re-mounting of every one everyone in Berlin, at the Tanzfabrik Open Spaces festival. We had an excellent run and unique performances. The performers, collaborators/production team and the Tanzfabrik team worked together beautifully. We are taking all of this in, listening to positive critical feedback, and now looking forward for future performance venues with plenty of possibilities.

In the end of November I was invited by Weld Company in Stockholm for a week-long  of exploration for their innovative company. I offered my teaching practice in workshop form, and the dancers and I invested in dialogue and shared research. It was, as well, a choreographic process, wherein we explored not only in-depth movement research from the practice, but constructed a hybrid performance experiment. Something between a lecture demonstration, a workshop, an inclusive audience interactive platform, live choreography, and dance improvised performance. The company members Sybrig Doktor, Robin Dingemans, Disa Krossness, Noah Hellwig, and Anna Westberg were wholly committed and dove into the work in a way that brought practice into performance seamlessly. Brilliant.

This research goes directly into my next project, Moveable Cinema, coming soon....

2016 started with a Dynamic Expansion workshop in Istanbul. A week-long with a large diverse group of movers, dancers, performers and practitioners it was wonderful and demanding. This is the third workshop I've offered in Istanbul, and I am truly inspired by the wonderful people who hosted me Sebnem and Can, the people joining in the pracitce and also the place. Contemporary dance in Istanbul, an emerging an errupting scene.

Upcoming Workshops

In November from 23rd to the 27th, I will offer a workshop for the dance and art platform Weld in Stockholm as a part of their project called: Weld Company. After the workshop there will be an open sharing with the dance community. Looking forward to dive into this work with these vibrant artists. See: Weld

Returing to this annual festival, I will teach a one-class workshop on the 29th of November as part of the “Sensing In Festival 2015” Axis Syllabus  in Uferstudios Berlin. See: Axis Syllabus

Stepping in for Maya Carroll, On the 30th November at Tanzfabrik, 10:00-12:00. Maya's classes run from Tuesday to Friday that week, her teaching has a unique approach to dynamic, form and energetic work embracing training and performance. I highly recommend her classes and am delighted to start the week off for this work.
